Vita Science's Maxasorb D3 Cream!

Vita Science's Maxasorb D3 Cream Review!

I really, really liked this cream. It actually did was supposed to and put me to sleep. So, I really wanted to try another product from Vita Sciences. When I got the chance to try their D3 cream, I was really excited.

The main reason I wanted to try this- besides the fact that I was definitely not getting as much sun as I normally do. And, I'm also terrible at taking vitamins. I'm so awful about it. So, I thought it would be a good idea to "trick" myself into taking my vitamins by using this as a hand cream in the morning.

Like the melatonin cream, this is like a thick unscented lotion. It's not greasy at all and absorbs quickly. And, I actually remember to use (take??) it.

I originally felt like this may be a little bit of a scam. But, I mean, what do I know about vitamins? We absorb plenty of stuff through the skin. Why not vitamins right? And, I've actually been highly impressed with how all their products have actually been working.

Salon Supply Store's Makeup Blender Sponge!

Salon Supply Store's Make Up Blender Sponge Review!

So, I got this little beauty blender to try out. I'm a huge fan of beauty blenders in general- so I thought I would try out one that was more on the budget end of the spectrum.

And, I've been pretty happy with the results of this little guy.
It's just as smushy but strong as the higher priced blenders. And works exactly the same.

I actually find this to be a great idea to add to my bridemaid's boxes/

If you want to try this Make Up Blender Sponge, check it out on Amazon for $1.98!

Unboxing and Review!

So, I was really excited for the first time in a LONG to get my Ipsy bag. Let's hop to it!

Upon Opening:

I wasn't too fond of the bag, but it's just not my style:

 The Haul!

1. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil with Bonus Revolution High-Color Lip Gloss:
Sample Sized at .8 oz (Approx. $5.00). Full Sized listed at 2.8 oz for $16.00

Being a HUGE Urban Decay fan, I'm excited to try this primer and really glad to see UD in my Ipsy bags again. Although the lip glosses (in Failbait and Bittersweet) are not my favorite colors, I still think this is a win!

2. Chella Eyebrow Color Pencil in Taupe:
Full Sized! Listed at .09g for $18.00

Not only is this a full sized item, it's something new and interesting to try. I would have never bought this on my own. So, I'm excited to try it out. Nice

3. Klorane Soothing and Relaxing Eye Patches:
Sample Sized at 2 Packets (Approx $6.00). Full Sized package of 7 for $21.00

This is another awesome thing that I was really happy to get and to try. I'm really glad that Ipsy gave two packs as well.

4. Bare Republic Natural Mineral Sunscreen:
Sample Sized at .5 oz (Approx $4.40). Full Size listed at 1.7 oz for $14.99

You can't fool me Bare Republic. You are just Coola. Coola in disguise. And I don't like you.

5. Luxie Beauty Tapered Blending Eye Brush (205):
Full Sized! Listed at $12.00

WOO! I love getting brushes. Especially eyeshadow brushes. Definitely a win!

The Final Verdict!
Box Value: Approx $45.00
 Box Score: 9/10

Final Thoughts:After a VERY rough start to 2015, I really feel like Ipsy has stepped up their game with this bag. Except for the Coola in disguise- I really loved everything in my bag!

Birchbox May 2015: Cupcakes and Cashmere

Unboxing and Review!

Birchbox has been batting a pretty cruel low number for me this year. Between the Harvey Prince and Number 4 Haircare over load, I just haven't been happy with my Birchboxes. I've even called to customer service to try to work on my profile (which was suprisingly NO help at all). I also didn't get my sample choice... I think it may be time to cut the cord here. I was saving up my points for a bag. But, they don't have the bag I wanted available anymore. So, c'est la vie. We'll see how a couple more months go. At least until I save up enough points for some Glamglow. Let's have a look!

Upon Opening:

The Haul:
1. Aruba Aloe Luxe Foot Creme:
Sample Sized at 1 oz. (Approx. $9.00). Full Sized listed at 2 oz for $18.00

So this is ok. It smells nice. But it's a little expensive for a foot cream. At least it's a decent size.

2. Benefit Lollibalm:
Sample Sized at 1.4 g (Approx $8.40). Full Sized listed at 3 g for $18.00

Being the only thing in the box, I have to say, I really love benefit's Lollibalm. It smells awesome and feels amazing. So, this is a win.

3. Cotz Flawless Complexion Spf 50:
Sample Sized at .18 oz (Approx. $1.40). Full Size listed at 2.5 oz for $20.00

What a waste. I'm so sick of Cotz. I'm over it.

4. Harvey Prince Sea Salt Texturizing Mist:
Sample Sized at 8 ml (Approx $1.00). Full Size listed 175 ml for $22.00

Holy Shit. Of all things I get instead of my sample choice (the macadamia hair oil), I get fucking Harvey Prince. This doesn't even deserve a comment.

5. Juliette Has A Gun Not A Perfume:
Sample Sized at 2 ml (Approx $3.60). Full Size listed at 50 ml for $90.00

Send me another perfume sample Birchbox. I dare you...

The Final Verdict!
Box Value: Approx $23.00
 Box Score: 1/10

Final Thoughts: I'm starting to check out of Birchbox. I didn't get my sample choice. A low box value. More Harvey Prince. And, yet another perfume- which I have opted out of getting!! Oh, and more Cotz.
At this point I'm thinking- are the points even worth the clutter and piles of stuff I don't want? You get one more month Birchbox.

Unboxing! Glossybox May 2015!

Where to get it: GlossyBox.com
How much is it?: $21.00 + tax monthly

Glossybox May 2015

Unboxing and Review!

I am so SO happy with my Glossybox this month. Let's hop right in!

Upon Opening:

The Haul!

1. Teeez Trend Cosmetics Head Over Heels Nail Lacquer Top Coat:
Full Sized!! Listed at $14.00 for .24 fl oz

In the world of nail polishes, top coat is pretty boring. That being said, I never ever remember to buy it. So, this is great to stash away. It's also a breath of fresh air and something new I haven't gotten in a beauty box before. Plus the packaging is really cute. So, it's a win.

2. Doucce Mineral Matt Lipstick in 907
Full Sized! Listed at $20.00 for .18 oz

I was a little bit wary about this lipstick when I first opened it. It seemed a little dark for me. But, I thought I would give it a try. It's a little hard for a lipstick. But, the color is fantastic and long lasting. I really really like it!

3. Clearista Retexturizing Gel:
Sample Sized at 15 ml (Approx. $10.00). Full Sized listed at 120 ml for $79.99

So, this is interesting. It's an exfoliator that smells like roses. Although I really like the smell, I find it a bit gritty for my skin and a bit overpriced.

4. Glamglow Powermud DualCleanse Treatment:
Sample Sized at .5 oz (Approx $20.00). Full Sized listed at 1.7 oz for $69.00

I mean, this should go without saying/ Who DOESN'T want a Glamglow sample in their beauty box? I'm excited to use this!

5. Sebastian Professional Stylbird 9:
Sample Sized at 1.55 oz (Approx. $4.99). Full Sized listed at 6.2 oz for $19.96

Meh, this is the one item I didn't really like in the box. I don't use hairspray and this feels like a throw away. Oh well.Still got my Glamglow!!

The Final Verdict!
Box Value: Approx $69.00
 Box Score: 9/10

Final Thoughts: As always, I love my Glossybox. They always have new companies and products to try. I'm digging this one!

Copper Mug from PureCopper

Copper Mug from PureCopper Review!

Ok, so I'm hoping this doesn't seem to weird of a review among my other reviews. But, I really really really really wanted one of these mugs for a while. They're just so cool.

I just had to jump on the opportunity to try one of these and write about it.

This mug is 100% pure copper and handmade. It is advertised as for drinking Moscow Mules out of. But, to be fair, I wanted it for when I'm craving a nice cold Diet Coke with lots of ice.

I did really like the 6 drink recipe cards that come with the mug as well and I definitely plan on making some during hot summer days. The recipes are Mule-jito, Blue-Blooded Mule, The Classic Moscow Mule, Mexican Mule, Whiskey Mule, and Black Honey Mule. Honestly, they all sound awesome.

The mug keeps my drinks super cool and looks amazing. I really want to stock up on a whole set of these and hang them in my kitchen. I'm also kind of hoping mine begins to age to see how it looks after some oxidation.

Look how delicious this looks:

Sample Society May 2015: New & Improved

Unboxing & Review!

So, I know I've kind of been MIA the past few weeks. Besides the fact that I'm now in the seasons of my real life job, I'm going to be honest- I just haven't been feeling it lately when it comes to my beauty boxes. I was so underwhelmed with every box I received in April, I couldn't even bring myself to write pages of page of negative reviews.

I guess I was of the mindset that if I don't have anything nice to say, don't say it. I was full aware of the whole Ipsy drama and I'm actually pretty peeved at Starlooks right now. But, it was all so blah and I didn't want to litter my blog with terribleness.

But, things seem to be looking up for May! Let's hop right into my first box- Sample Society's May 2015: New and Improved!

Upon Opening:

The Haul!:

1. John Frieda Luxurious Volume  7 Day Volume In Shower Treatment:
Sample Sized at 1 fl oz (Approx $2.50). Full Sized listed at 4 fl oz for $9.99

Although my hair and John Frieda products don't normally get along, I dig this type of product and am interesting in giving it a try.

2. Julep Lip Gloss in Graceful:
Sample Sized at 0.1 fl oz (Approx $8.00). Full Sized listed at .25 fl oz for $20.00

So, I'm generally not a huge fan of Julep products. I did try their box for a while and was not really impressed. Although I think the color is pretty- I feel this is really over priced for a gloss. It's not just my thing and I wouldn't spend $20 on it. But, it isn't terrible either. I'll sit on this one a while to see how I feel about it.

3.Versace Eros Pour Femme:
Sample Sized at .17 fl oz (Approx $9.20) Full Sized listed at 1.7 fl oz for $92.00

See!! See beauty box world!! THIS is how you do perfume samples. I may be a bit partial to the Versace scents. But, this little sample is absolutely gorgeous and can have many uses. A win!!

4. Eau Thermale Avene Thermal Spring Water:
Sample Sized at 50 ml (Approx. $4.16). Full Sized listed at 150 ml for $12.50

5. Leneige Water Sleeping Mask:
Sample Sized at 20 ml (Approx $5.75). Full Sized listed at 80 ml for $23.00

I received both these products in past beauty boxes. The spring water mist didn't really appeal to me and I gave it to my mother. But, I did get the leneige water sleeping mask in my Target Beauty Box for Her in December and I absolutely love it! So a win and a loss in one

6. Alterna Caviar Repair Multi-Vitamin Heat Protection Spray:
Sample Sized at .85 fl oz (Approx. $6.07). Full Size listed at 4.2 fl oz for $30.00

This is probably my most favorite item in the box. I'm really interested in trying it out. I do so much damage with my heat products that I really need something to help it out. Fingers crossed it works well!

 The Final Verdict!
Box Value: Approx $35.00
 Box Score: 7/10

Final Thoughts:  Although the retail box value isn't really as high as Sample Society's boxes normally are- I do like a lot of the items I got even though some were repeats!

What did you think of Sample Society's May 2015 box?

Vita Science's Maxasorb Melatonin Sleep Cream!

Vita Science's Maxasorb Melatonin Sleep Cream Review!

So, I've been trying something new and awesome the past couple months to combat my insomnia. And, I'm actually really really happy about it!

I've been trying out Vita Science's Maxasorb Melatonin Cream.

And, I mean this stuff puts me OUT. I've never experienced anything like this. It's intense. And, I really like the fact that it is a cream instead of a pill or something like that.

It's pretty thick and feel like a hand lotion:

It's unscented and definitely doesn't make your skin feel oily. It's really great to apply before bed. Within 20 minutes after applying, I start feeling sleepy. And within minutes after that, I am out like a light for the full night!

Honestly, I know this sounds really gimmicky- but I'm being 100% honest here. Since Tylenol PM's disappeared then changed up their recipe, I haven't found a non RX sleeping aid that has helped me so much as this. Huge Rainarella seal of approval!
