Treat My Feet: Soft Foot!

Treat My Feet: Soft Foot Review!

So. I'll be the first person to admit that my feet are a mess during the summer. Walking around Manhattan all day long in flats and sandals does not make for a pretty look at the end of the day. There are times when I'm even embarrassed to get a pedicure. I have done a LOT of damage to my feet and I feel so bad for them.

Ergo, I have become a huge fan of at home foot exfoliating treatments. Normally, I use Tony Moly's Shiny Foot. But, I was really excited to try out a new peel! And honestly, I'm impressed.

First and foremost, Treat My Feet comes with two booties in the box. At first I was confused considering what I'm normally used to is booties plus having packets of liquid I have to pour into the bootie.

I was REALLY pleasantly surprised that the booties were sealed with the exfoliating liquid already inside. Do you know how much that makes my clumsy life SO much easier?! I really, really like that I can just cut these open and slip them on as opposed to having to hold them up, while pouring the liquid in and potentially making a mess- which has happened.

If you're unfamiliar with exfoliating foot peels, they're relatively simple and easy to use. They also make for an awesome addition to an at home spa day. I can not express this enough because I've made this mistake before- the very first thing you want to do is give your feet a good soak for about 30 minutes to soften them up and clean them.

After opening the booties and wrapping them around your feet- get ready to sit back and relax with them for 60-90 minutes. Since my feet tend to be abominations against nature, I tend to go the full 90 minutes. Throw on a movie, have some tea, drink some wine, do a hair/face mask- just chill out. I mean, they're not horrible to walk in. But, it can be a bit of a pain. Treat My Feet suggests putting normal socks over the booties to compress the liquid more. But, too be honest, it was was too hot in my apartment to do this.

I also like to wiggle my feet every once in a while to make sure I'm getting coverage all over the foot. After your 60-90 minutes, remove and toss the booties. Then wash your feet with soap in water.

Normally, it takes 4 days to a week and then your feet will fall off and you grow new ones. :)

Actually, within a few days, your feet will REALLY start to peel and exfoliate. It's gross yet amazing. I generally suggest doing this in the winter when people actually can't see your feet because it does take a few days for your feet to essentially "molt." I didn't take pictures. I don't think you want to see them anyway.

Treat My Feet worked just as well as Tony Moly and other foot peels I have used in the past. That being said, there are 2 things about Treat My Feet that sets it apart for me.

First, I was thrilled with the fact that I didn't have to set up a whole thing and pour in the liquid. It's just so simple! And second, this smells ONE MILLION times better than the other peels I have tried. Treat My Feet has chamomile and ginger extracts that make you actually feel like you're giving yourself a spa treatment as opposed running some mad scientist experiment on your feet.

At a comparable price to other treatments I've tried, I think I've been converted. We have a winner!

Giveaway Ended! Congrats to Olivia J, Nick P, and Krishna S!

Reach Cable's 10 Iphone/Ipad Charging Cord!

Reach Cable's 10 Iphone/Ipad Charging Cord Review!

Also have a quick review for you tonight!

I am the MASTER at killing Iphone and Ipad cables. I don't know how the hell I destroy them so much. But, I'm really terrible with them and am constantly looking for replacements. The ones I get at my bodega seriously only last me days, maybe a couple weeks. The ones from Duane Reade, I'll get maybe a month or two out of.

Another issue I have is that many of these cords are WAY, WAY to short. I can't even attempt to use my phone from certain outlets in my house. Especially when I am trying to read and charge before bed. So. Annoying.

So, when the opportunity to jump on trying and reviewing a charging cord that may cover all my damages came along- I couldn't NOT take the opportunity!

A couple things about Reach Cable's charging cord. First, its 10 feet long. Now, I normally don't need 10 feet. Maybe like 5 or 6 feet would be doable for me. But, I really like having the mobility to function like a human being while charging as opposed to being tether to a wall.

The cord is compatible with Iphones 5's and 6's, Ipads, and newer Ipods. Which I have all 3 of. So, the makes like easy.

And finally, and MOST IMPORTANTLY (for me) this is a durable cable. The actual wire is encased in a durable, braided- almost rope like- fabric. It's not as flimsy and mobile as typical ichargers. But I don't mind. Because it hasn't broken. My god! A Raina-proof charger. Didn't think that was possible.

Honestly, I've only been using this cable for a month. And time is the true teller of whether or not this cord can withstand my incompetence. But for now, it has made me VERY happy!

Oooooh a full sized brush?? Yes please! I love liner brushes and was in desperate need a new one. Love!

2. Eyeshadow in Gold Coast:

As I am apparently in the process of building my eyeliner arsenal in case of a zombie apocalypse, I couldn't resist picking this liner. Although I normally do not wear brown liner, I think it will be very complimentary to the gold shadow. Look at me- curating my own box all crazy! I'm already a huge fan of Starlook's liners. So, this is kind of a shoe in!

I must have missed the step to pick out my gift cards this month because I don't remember choosing these. I also this they accidentally gave me a double by accident!

Starlook's Looks Book August 2015: Resort Edition

Unboxing And Review!

So, apparently I was totally confused and Starlook's has completely done away with their classic, Legacy box that I have had for the past year. So sad! In exchange for that, they have rolled out their Looks Book for $12.00 instead.

The August 2015 Resort Edition Looks Books is their first one and I'm honestly really impressed!

In case you aren't familiar with this subscription, Starlooks has 2 subscription boxes- the custom box and now the Looks Book (both $12.00 each). Each Looks Book includes 3 brand new, limited edition, perfect sized Starlooks cosmetics in an adorable little carrying case. The case is awesome to pop in your bag and I feel like if you're not feeling one month- they would make awesome gifts!

In addition, like the Custom box, the Looks Book also contains discount gift cards for various websites including Starlooks!

Let's Take A Look!

OMG! How Cute!

Every Looks Book also comes with a nice little Tips Booklet:

The Haul!

1. Satin-finish Water Eyeshadow in Aqua:
2.5 g.

I absolutely LOVE this shadow stick. The color is a gorgeous Aqua (duh), super shimmery, and easy to layer. It stays on and is SO much fun! This is a great start!

2. Highlight/Blush Duo in Tropic and Ritz:
1.6 g.

I fell SO in love with Starlook's July 2015 Custom Highlighter and Blush that I am SO excited to try these. I already swatched them and they look amazing. Highlighters have been my thing this year so I'm hoarding them. The gold and peach tones are so amazingly complimentary to each other. I am in love already!

2. Gloss-finish Lipstick in Jet Set:
1 g.

So, I don't really know if I can pull this color off. But, I really like it. It's a light coral/peach that goes on quite delicately. I definitely want to try this one out.

4. Gift Cards:

I'm not sure if I will be able to choose my gift cards in the future like the custom box. But, I received 3 gift cards:

1. Versa Swimwear for $50!
2. The Laboratory (amount not listed)
3. Torrain for $15!

The Final Verdict!
Box Value: Being that these are new, limited edition, curated items for the Look Book, it's really hard to put a value on the box on the whole. The 3 "perfect sized" items are nicely sized and a nice combination and the gift cards are a nice addition.

 Box Score: 10/10

Final Thoughts: Although I was disappointed to see the classic Legacy Starbox go, I am REALLY REALLY excited for the future of the Starlook's Look Book. I honestly adore this concept and am looking forward to future themes. As usual, these are some amazing quality products. I really like and will probably use all 3 items. The actual "book"/ travel case is completely adorable and functional to keep everything organized. The price is great at $12 and the gift cards are kind of awesome! This is an AWESOME start to the Looks Book and I cannot wait until September. This is SUCH a win!

How are you feeling about this Starbox change up?
