Starlook's Customizable Starbox July 2015
Unboxing and Review!
Ok, disclosure time. Starlook's did send me this box for free to review. And, being a huge Starlooks and Starbox fan- I said absolutely YES to a review!
To be honest, I was a little nefarious on where Starlooks was going with the Starbox change up initially. I didn't want to lose a box I love and I wasn't sure where they were going with the "gift cards." And right now, I'm really unsure where they're going with the classic/legacy box. I think that's going to be replaced too. But I have to confirm.
I was dead set on keeping the classic box until the bitter end. Until I saw the preview for the customizable and wanted EVERYTHING. So, I feel really awesome that I got the opportunity to review this.
If you aren't familiar yet, with the new customizable box you can pick 3 deluxe sample sized items and 3 gift cards.
Let's look!!:
The Haul!

1. The 3 Gift Cards I chose were:
1. $20 to Starlooks.com- which I will definitely use.
2. $15 to www.brittaambauen.com - a great jewelry company that has some really cute stuff.
3. $40 to www.inlovewithonyx.com - this stuff looks awesome!
2. Limited Edition Liquid Illuminator in High Life:
1.3 ml, listed at $10.50
Oh my god. Highlighters are my thing this year- I'm just going nuts with them. And this one is AMAZING! It's super light and has a champagne look on me. I've been hemming and hawing that I hate using the Burberry highlighter sample I love from my December 2014 Sample Society box. But this one totally trumps this and replaced it for me. I seriously love it and wish it wasn't a limited edition.

2. Limited Edition Skin Perfecting Blush in Rose Gold:
2 g, listed at $14.50

Ugh! Another limited edition! You're killing me here Starlooks! It's so hard for me to find a blush that works with my skin without me ending up looking like Bette Davis in What Ever Happened to Baby Jane. I guess that's why the customizable box is worth it. Because I am sincerely going nuts over this and the highlighter. It's gorgeous.

3. Longwear Eye Pencil in Noir:
Size unknown, listed at $10.25

Everyone else can complain about getting lots of black eyeliners in beauty boxes. I have never complained once and have no plan on complaining in the future. On top of which, I LOVE Starlooks' liners. So, I had to have this one. It goes on super smooth, it high pigmented, and lasts. But, right now I have Perversion opened- so I'll save this little guy for later. It's actually a great vacation sized liner as I consistently pack too much make up when I go away!

The Final Verdict!
Box Value: Not counting the gift cards, the make up in this box is $35.25.
 Box Score: 10/10

Final Thoughts: Honestly, I am SO happily surprised with my first Starbox customizable box. This has completely changed how I was initially feeling about the change over. The gift cards are a pretty awesome idea. The value of the make up in the box alone is a win. But, I really REALLY love the customizable options. I am 3 for 3 here on these items. The highlighter and blush are absolutely gorgeous and are spot on with items I would actually want to have and use. The eyeliner is perfect. I couldn't be happier with my first customizable Starbox experience. Total Rainarella thumbs up!

  1. This seems like a great value, especially since you get to pick the items that appeal to you most! Your Starlooks gift card alone pays for the box!
