Starlook's September 2015 LooksBook: Revival
Unboxing and Review!
Unfortunately, I am only going to be doing on Starlook's unboxing this month. I totally screwed up my regular subscriber account so I ended up with 2 LooksBooks this month. Oops!
Last month, I was SUPER impressed with Starlook's newest addition- their monthly Looksbook! If you're not familiar, Starlooks is an AMAZING cosmetics company that has 2 make up only (YESSSSSS) subscription services for $12.00 each. They have a custom box and the new Looksbook.
The reason I love the Looksbook is because everything in wrapped up so beautifully in travel friendly, gorgeously decorated cases. Every month Starlooks creates a new theme and look and coordinates everything together in a perfect little package of goodies. Each month you get 3 deluxe travel sized products to create a new, dramatic look. It's just so cool!!
Starlooks does send me their Looksbook for an honest review. Regardless, I am such a huge Starlooks fan and really love their make up and products to death to begin with!
Look at how pretty!!:
September's Look Tutorial Booklet!:
The Haul!:
1. Agave Eyeshadow Duo:
1.6 g
I'll be real with you- I don't really have any shadows these colors. So I am REALLY interested in experimenting with these and playing around. Both colors are matte with one being a greeinish slate and the other a maroonish red. I think I can go a little nuts with these and kind of have my fingers crossed that I can achieve a look like in the tutorial booklet!
2. Flora Black Mascara:
3.5 g
Right now, I do have eyelash extensions on. But, I always feel like you really can't go wrong with a zombie apocalypse survival stash of black mascara (and black eyeliner!). And although I haven't tried this particular type of Starlook's mascara- I have tried others in the past- and I have been SO impressed with how they look. I'm so hoarding this...
3. Matte Lipstick in Rawr:
1 g
OMG! I am in love with this super hot pink lipstick. This is why I love the new Starlook's boxes. Last month, I tried out and fell in love with their Jet Set coral lipstick- which I would have NEVER tried out on my own. Normally, I wouldn't even attempt to try this color out. But, it looks kind of awesome on me. Definitely my favorite item in the Revival box. Squee!!
The Final Verdict!
Box Value: Being
that these are new, limited edition, curated items for the Look Book,
it's really hard to put a value on the box on the whole. The 3 "perfect
sized" items are nicely sized and a nice combination and the gift cards
are a nice addition.
Box Score: 10/10
Final Thoughts: I am NOT missing the legacy box (sorry Starlooks!). Honestly, I am really happy with the first 2 months of LooksBooks. The themes are original and completely cohesive, the packaging is perfect- I don't lose stuff, the price is awesome, and I can definitely experiment with items guilt free! Keep them coming Starlooks!!
How is everyone feeling about the new LooksBooks so far??
