Product Review! Vitamin C Challenge Contender #1: Naturalico's Vitamin C Serum!

A couple days ago, I posted a quick blurb that I will be testing out some new Vitamin C Serums.

One of my New Year's Resolutions is to start using more natural beauty products for a healthier life style! With so many wonderful products on the market, I'm more than happy to try a few to find the perfect one! In an attempt to be less totally oblivious, my first step to healthier skin is adding a Vitamin C serum to my regime.

So, I created a personal challenge to try as many Vitamin C Serum's in January that I can to find the best out there for me! And I will be having a giveaway at the end of the month for one lucky reader to get their very own Serum!

Here's the first contender up for review:

Naturalico's Vitamin C Serum Review!

What first drew me to this Vitamin C Serum is the fact that it is all organic and made with natural ingredients. And, it's cruelty free! A big part of my New Year's Resolution is to really make an effort to work more towards using all natural beauty ingredients. And, I am trying to go 100% cruelty free.

So, this definitely caught my eye.

The serum is 20% Vitamin C enriched with Vitamin E. There are certainly some interesting ingredients including Aloe, With Hazel, Jojoba Oil, Japanese Green Tea, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Gotu Kola, Rosehip Oil, Dandelion, and Wild Geranium. That's a great combination!

The bottle is typical dark brown apothecary bottle that comes in a cute little gift box. Basically embodying the idea of a natural, simple solutions.

The serum is basically scentless. It is very VERY light. Although not completely translucent, the serum feels almost like water when you first apply it. And, I really like that. It doesn't feel like I'm slathering on something that is going to suffocate my pores. I always worry when trying a new serum that it will be so heavy. I find that to be an issue for me when I use Argan or Rosehip base serums. Not here! I feel like I could slather this on without a care in the world.

Since the serum is not very thick, it is easy to spread evenly. For about 2 seconds that I did have a moment of concern when first applying the serum. There are many products that claim to make you feel "dewy." But, instead leaving you feeling sticky instead. This product actually delivered! About 20 seconds after application, the serum completely absorbed. No stickiness- just a fresh, soft face. I did feel a little tightening/plumping for about 30 minutes as well. But it was very subtle- I didn't feel like my face was getting stretched out.

The serum works extremely well as a base for my toning lotion and moisturizer. Which, to me means that it actually absorbs very well instead of just coating your face. It creates a nice glow and evens my skin out.

I feel really great using Naturalico's Vitamin C Serum. It is a natural, organic, cruelty free item that preforms as promised! I feel like this is such a great start to my New Year's Resolution as well as my Vitamin C Serum Challenge! Woo!
