Random Unboxing! Memebox ColorBox #5: Jewel Tones

Memebox Colorbox #5: Jewel Tones

Unboxing and Review

I'm here with my second Memebox Unboxing and Review for their Colorbox #5: Jewel Tones.

I wanted to delve more into the Memebox world. And, I really like this box. It was a lot of fun. Though I thought it was a little much to have all the products in one box from one company- Color World- I feel like I got a pretty decent value for $15.00.

Let's hop right in!

Upon Opening:

Our Menu:

The Haul!:

1. Color World Multi Lovely Finger Mousse Lip in #704 So Hot Pink:
Full Sized, Listed at $20.00

Ok, this lip gloss is probably my least favorite product in the box. It is a bright purple fuschia and was kind of clumpy when I opened it. I definitely can't wear it. When I swatched a little bit, I couldn't even get it off in the shower (even when using BOTH my Ritual Cosmetics hand scrub and my Teadora body scrub- both that I have written about in the past). In regards to lip color, I WISH I could find a lip color that would last though a shower and a scrub. But, this color is just WAY too much and seems a bit too hardcore for me. Plus, the weird clumpiness and odd Crayola feel to it. I felt like I would look Buffalo Bill if I even attempted to apply this one...

2. Color World Star Powder in White:
Full Sized, listed for 10g for $14.00

Ok, so this shadow I LOVE.  It's a really light, silky loose white powder sprinkled with silver glitter. It reminds me a bit of a whiter version of Urban Decay's Polyester Bride. Which just happens to be one of my every day highlighter shadows. It works INSANELY well layered and I have found that it works very well mixing with darker, matte shadows to create a silky, sparkly, and pastel version of whatever I want to mix it with. And, it's gorgeous on it's own. I feel like I already won with a $14.00 shadow in a $15.00 box.

3. Color World Kiss The Beads Lip Gloss in in 03 Red Gemstone:
Full Sized, Listed at 13 ml for $18.00

Holy CRAP this one hit me out of no where. Normally, I immediately toss away coral colored lip products. But, I couldn't help myself in my youtube unboxing (which will be posted soon). This opalescent coral pink lipgloss smells AMAZING and has and awesome shine. I had to try it. Instead of looking like I was insane, this gloss looks amazing on me and I finally found a coral that I can wear. It also goes on super subtle and smooth. I love it.

4. Color World Jewelish Stick Shadow in 09 Crystal Silver:
Full Sized, 10 g listed at $13.00

SQWEEEEE. If you've read any of my other blog entries or watched any of my youtube videos- you'll know that I am slightly obsessed with silver shadows and liners. I will open the debate that I am the single expert of the internet blogging world of silver shadows and liners. It's my thing. So, I will NEVER be unhappy with getting a nice silver liner. And, in my book - Color World's Crystal Silver Jewelish Stick adds up. It is a lighter silver but it has some nice glitter to it. Not overwhelming and nicely dispersed. It layers something insane and creates a kind of awesome foil look. Something I've been searching for in a silver shadow for a while. This $13.00 product is what made the Memebox Jewel Tones Box for me. For Reals.

The Final Verdict!

Box Value: $65.00
 Box Score: 8/10

Final Thoughts: Although I found it a little bit weird that everything in this Memebox was from just one company - I could handle that. I found 3 out of the 4 products to be some awesome gems that I will TOTALLY use. The only loss to me was the most expensive items being so extremely useless as well as clumpy and Crayola-esque. Still, I think it's a win!

What do you think?
