FSL Xylem Wood Earbuds

FSL Xylem Wood Earbuds Review!

So, funny story. Once upon a time, I used to have nice things. Things I loved and cherished and often times kept lying around. Then, I adopted this little guy:

That's Luca- my min pin. He's the light of my life and a stealth little thief. We adopted him from a bad puppy mill type situation, so off the bat- training was not the easiest thing. He is REALLY smart but incredibly defiant. Not unlike most min pin's. Here, we had just caught him in the act of stealing an apple from the bag apples we had JUST brought in from apple picking. Crafty.

One of Luca's favorite things is to eat headphones. He's like Liam Neeson in Taken. He has a particular set of skills to find headphones and eat them. It has taken me a lot longer to figure out that he'll steal what's ever not nailed down than I care to admit.

So, I am always on the hunt to find new, inexpensive but good quality headphones. Because I know, know matter WHAT I do, they will eventually meet a bitter end.

So, I was really excited to try a new set of headphones and these look really cool!

First off, I want to point out that the FSL headphones come with a pouch. This may be just what I need to thwart the little man! Although this is extremely convenient in avoiding get the headphones tangled up in the bottom of my bag. Just have to roll them up, place them in the pouch and voila! No mysterious knots and tangles.

Also- the headphones and chamber are actually wood instead of metal. I've never seen that and it's kind of cool. Besides looking cool, this is eco-friendly and kind of amplifies the bass heavy music that I like (being a Tool fan). The sound from these little guy is great!

In addition, the headphones have a volume control. Which, tends to help a lot when I'm in the office and Slayer randomly pops up in my shuffle...

Finally, I know that this is really inane. But, I am really happy that the headphones included different sized ear bud parts. I must have abnormally small ear canals because a LOT of headphones either don't fit in my ears or become incredibly painful after a while. And I am always glad to have a choice of different sized "squishies" that I can choose one that actually fits my ears. I don't understand why this isn't normal practice for many earbuds.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with these ear buds. They're inexpensive, eco-friendly, cool looking, and the sound is great! I really like the fact that they come with additional items: the carrying case to prevent my dog from getting to them as well a preventing tangling and the varied sized ear part. And the wood is so cool looking and different!

I highly recommend these!
